Kaleidoscope: J. Meade

My name is Jackie Meade, and I have been here at Sullivan’s Island Elementary Kaleidoscope for 30 years. I believe that we have the best job in the world. My aim is to fashion a happy and safe alternative to home for your child, building upon the lessons of the school day and introducing new themes as well. Your child’s safety – both physical and emotional – is paramount.

Kaleidoscope is a district-wide program run through the Office of Expanded Learning, and we here at SIES are proud to be a part of it! Your child can attend one day per week, or five – we are flexible and here to do our best to meet your needs. Students come straight to us after the school day ends, and we are here with them up to six pm each evening. We will provide snacks, homework help, active games, and targeted age-appropriate fun. The Kaleidoscope program also coordinates the logistics your child’s arrival at the proper Enrichment class. The children come to us and we do the rest. Students may be picked up after their class ends, or they may remain at Kaleidoscope up to six – the choice is yours.

Our team, Jaime Rider, Tayla Carson, Kayla Weber, Linda Chafin, Donna Mizzell, and Kati Eller are excited to be here and cannot wait to meet your child.

Our staff will get to know your child’s preferences and find opportunities to tailor their experience accordingly. Our aim here is that your child have so much fun that they cannot wait to come again the next day. Existing school relationships are expanded and solidified. Students also meet and befriend children that they may not have met during the course of the school day. We will all work together to ensure that your child is engaged and happy while with us here at Kaleidoscope.
